Envelope Machine Operator
This individual operates a variety of folding machines as well as special purpose machines for other production processes in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities also include completing paperwork using simple math calculations to accurately account for shift production, periodic quality checks that include using a ruler, and communicating with Adjuster and Supervisor regarding production shortfalls or other issues. This person will work as a team member with others assigned to the same equipment in addition to occasionally assisting in routine machine maintenance.
Experience in previous manufacturing environments is helpful, but not required.
Physical demands include the ability to lift 40 pounds, bending, lifting, standing 90% of the time, and repetitive motion using hands and wrists.
Envelope Machine Adjuster
This person performs as a general journeyman, doing machine set ups, changes, and troubleshooting equipment with close tolerances. This requires a knowledge of machinery, mechanical equipment, tools, measuring instruments and metals, and skill in fitting bearings, spindles, etc.
Responsibilities also include the maintenance (and therefore, the condition) of the equipment to which they are assigned, while maintaining a safe working environment and working as a team member in a fast past environment. Overall, this person will be responsible for producing high quality envelopes at a high rate of speed.
Education required is a minimum of a High School Diploma, GED, and/or special training.
Experience required is 2-3 years machine experience.
Physical demands include the ability to lift 50-100 pounds, bending, lifting, standing 90% of the time.
